Hypnotherapy Hypnosis

Cheshire & Bolton

Hypnotherapy is best described as a state of relaxation combined with visualization as a form of therapy for treating symptoms or conditions like anxiety, depression, sexual problems or any psychological conditions.  At the Bolton Cheshire Hypnotherapy Clinic there are two different types of therapies that are being used which are described below and will be described in more detail in your initial consultation.

What is Hypnosis

Hypnosis

Hypnosis is can be described as a state of relaxation which is induced through positive suggestion or autosuggestion. The hypnotic state when used for therapeutic techniques as call hypnotherapy. Hypnosis is some times termed as a sleep state this is incorrect the words hypnosis and hypnotism are derived from the Greek word hypnos, meaning sleep as the person does appear to be asleep they are in a heightened state of awareness they are actually more away of what is going on around then.

What is Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a form of talking therapy it is used for the treatment of emotional and psychological problems. The aim of all talking therapy is to assist a client is to help then to find alternative ways of changing their thinking feelings or behavior of an unwanted habit. It can also help the client to realise or unlock there own potential.

Hypnotherapy unlike other kinds of psychological treatments addresses the client’s subconscious mind hypnotherapy mostly realise on the client being in a relaxed state. Hypnotherapy realise on the clients own imagination along with direct suggestion from the therapist. The therapist can also use analytical techniques bringing up past events and then dealing with the emotional issues of the past event. Through all the techniques used the client must have a strong motivation for change the therapist can not do it for then.

Perhaps the most important thing is that the client feels comfortable with the therapist they must feel at ease as this is important to the success of the treatment. It is always a good idea to just book one session with the therapist just to see if you like them or not, then go away and have a good think before under going any kind of therapy with them. You should expect to feel better after a few visits for simpler problems such as stopping smoking, weight loss, nail biting and lack of confidence. If you are not receiving benefits after the short treatment then you may be advisable trying analytical therapy which is a much longer process may be ten sessions or more.

Frequently asked questions

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation and concentration at one with a state of heightened awareness induced by suggestion. It is a non-addictive power for good and is a natural manifestation of the mind at work.

Are there some people that cannot be hypnotised?

No. (Except those who have mental illness, although of course the degree varies from person to person).

Are any drugs or tablets used?

No.

Will I be aware of what is happening?

Yes. Most people are surprised to remember all that has happened during the therapy.

So I’m not asleep then?

No, you are simply extremely relaxed.

Is there any cause at all for concern?

None what so ever. Hypnosis is a proven therapeutic aid.

How many visits will I need?

Simple problems, such as smoking, nail biting, slimming,  pre-test nerves etc usually require a single session and the success rate is surprisingly high. The more deep-rooted nervous disorders require ‘analytical’ rather than ‘suggestion’ therapy which usually consists of 10 to 12 weekly sessions.

Can I be influenced to do anything against my will or nature?

No. In fact you would be shocked out of the hypnotic state immediately any such action was suggested to you.

Who can benefit from hypnotherapy

Anyone can benefit from hypnotherapy provided they but time effort have the motivation for change as I mentioned it is not all down to therapist. The list of symptoms that can be treated with hypnotherapy Cheshire Bolton is to long to mention the most common are Fear of public speaking, weight loss, stop smoking, anxiety, depression, addiction, alcoholism, some skin disorders, Irritable bowel syndrome

Suggestion Therapy

Suggestion therapy as its name implies uses positive  worded suggestion on the problem. this would go something like this. You will find it easy to stop smoking you will take a lot of pride in yourself that you have stopped smoking so easily etc Using visualisation and positive hypnotic suggestion to treat so-called minor conditions such as nail biting, stopping smoking, weight loss, interview nerves, fear of flying, exam nerves etc.

Hypno-analysis  (analytical hypnotherapy)

Hypnoanalysis fast effective treatment

Analytical hypnotherapy for treating of emotional and psychological problems it is unique in its approach in that it treats the root cause of the problem. Hypnoanalysis is fast and effective in the treatment of such things as phobias, depression, OCD and so on. Leaving  the person completely free from that something inside themselves but outside their control,

Hypnoanalysis is not counseling  or psychotherapy these types of therapy use intellect on the problem or try to smooth over the symptoms in some way. every psychological problem has its own original root cause. These root causes have there origins in childhood and are caused by bottled up emotions that are locked away from the conscious mind. No amount of talking or intellect can get to these bottled up emotions as they are locked away in the subconscious mind.

Hypnoanalysis can get to the root cause by using hypnosis to tap into the subconscious mind were the true cause lies. Then using  free association releasing memories and bottled up emotions from the past that are causing the symptoms now, whether it be a phobias, depression anxiety  OCD  sexual problems and so on.

Hypnoanalysis is the fastest most effective treatment in the would achieving remarkable lasting results in as little as 10 to 12 weeks. Hypnoanalysis brings you to a moment of surprising and elaborating enlightenment bringing you a complete lasting release by finding and releasing the root cause of your problem. So please do not suffer in silence as many people do in this day and age, there is no reason anyone should but up with their symptoms as long as they are willing to devote time effort and money.

If you have truly made that decision for change as l guess you have or you would not be reading this, then I'm confident that we can find a solution to your problem.

"Do you really want to make a change?" don't suffer any more and take that first step today, pick up the phone and see what changes you can make in your life today.

Depression
Dear Philip
More than 20 years ago  l was diagnosed by a doctor with clinical depression. Since then I have taken three deferent types of antidepressants on three separate occasions, counseling  and psychotherapy none of which had any long term effects I became withdrawn, had anxiety attacks and did not function well on a social level, but the worst thing for me was  the tiredness  all the time.

I decided I had to do something, found your number, and gave you a call. It was the best thing I have ever done. I started the twelve weeks sessions, skeptical at first, but as the weeks went by I got a little better and my energy levels increased. By week ten I was feeing fantastic and people were starting to notice a difference

Thank to you I have my life back, I no  longer walk with my head down, my anxiety attacks has gone and I can now go out and do thing's I want to do

Thank you so much Philip

Social Phobia

Dear Philip

Where can I start well lets start with how I felt before I took the hypnotherapy sessions. Before I came to the sessions I felt nervous in busy places and around people I hardly or didn’t know and was always unsure about doing different things, as I felt awkward and uneasy a feeling as if everyone was looking at me. Because of this I would feel as though I was walking wrong or felt very stiff as I walked in the street or anywhere I felt uncomfortable.

The change I have definitely noticed in myself is great, I am now more confident less shy or reserved towards people, eager to got out busy places and I actually enjoy shopping now even in busy places like the Trafford centre.

Last of all I can’t remember the last time I felt glum or down I am actually trying to remember what it felt like??????? Which I can’t to be honest

Thanks Phil

Mike

Childrens Therapy

Dear Philip,
Just a quick note to thank you for your skill in helping our son. Since our visit we have noticed a considerable change in his whole attitude. He is much happier in himself and in his approach to many things that would in the past have caused him and us concern. He is much more open with matters and able to discuss them than he has been at any time in the past.

Again, many thanks and good luck for the future.

Regards,

Mick
